Kuya Nikki
Meet Nick Sun, also known as "Kuya Nikki," our resident International Education Consultant. With backgrounds in Computer Engineering, Electronics Communication Engineering, and Nursing, as well as fluency in multiple dialects in the Philippines, Nick's passion for helping people has led him to revolutionize the standards of service for agencies that cater to aspiring international students in Canada through SUN-COR Unlimited.
Nick's selflessness and dedication to helping the Filipino community have earned him the nickname "Kuya ng bayan sa Canada." SUN-COR Unlimited is committed to guiding aspiring students to achieve their dreams by offering scholarships and grants out of their own pocket and providing the cheapest possible way to success. Despite being a relatively new company, SUN-COR is already setting the gold standard for service that other agencies are following.
Nick also dedicates his Fridays to live sessions where he educates people on the student-to-PR pathway. He goes above and beyond by helping people outside of their student life, such as finding work and housing and offering counsel to help their faith.
Kuya Micmic
Meet Michael Corrales, our resident Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant. With a degree in Economics, a minor in Political Science and Development Studies, and academic excellence awards under his belt, Michael also studied Mandarin in Beijing and Business Chinese.
Before moving to Canada, Michael worked in the Chinese stock market, owned two businesses that catered to public and multinational organizations, and headed a non-profit organization that helped automotive consumers and organized charitable events, medical missions, and food drives for various subgroups in the Philippines.
As an international student in Canada, Michael documented and shared his journey online, and even created one of the very first online groups to support international students. He developed a framework for creating letters of explanation or statements of purpose that is still used today.
Michael's passion for helping people both inside and outside of Canada has been widely recognized by the community and featured in various news and publications.
